Upper IV and Lower V visit the Alexander McQueen exhibition at the V&A
Current GCSE Art students, and those choosing to take the subject in Upper IV were treated to a spectacle of performance and splendour at the Victoria and Albert Museum last month. The exhibition was a chance to view original artworks and costume pieces by the acclaimed artist and fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
The students were first treated to a talk in the lecture theatre at the V&A about the exhibition itself which was very informative, followed by the exhibition itself. The exhibition was full of colour and intrigue, and beautifully made, detailed dresses and accessories. I think all who visited couldn't help but be impressed by the level of work and the exciting nature of the ideas and concepts behind the work.
